Facilities

The G. M. Frost Research and Information Centre is a unique architectural form and sits perched overlooking the City of Guelph on the east side of the city. Our conference facilities provide panoramic views that are unmatched within the city and provide a unique environment for you and colleagues to meet.  Catering options are avaialble through any vendor, but we recommend using the U of G Hospitality Services as they offer good food at reasonable prices and know our facility well.  Catering must be staged and served inside the room you have booked. If you wish to occupy additional spaces such as the outdoor patio or grounds, please let us know during the booking appointment.  Below you will find a list of details in regards to what is included in each room.

 

 

Boardroom

  • Accommodates up to 12 people comfortably
  • Equipped with a large boardroom-style table, leather armchairs, projector screen, white board, flip chart and dry erase markers
  • All other equipment such as projectors, speakers, conference phones etc... should be brought by the user group
  • Access to Wifi must be requested in advance
  •  
  • Use of the boardroom is complimentary to recognized GTI partner groups

 

Conference Room

  • Accomodates up to 70 people
  • Equipped with tables and chair, small kitchenette, fridge, microphone, projector screen, white board, flip chart and dry erase markers
  • All other equipment such as projectors, speakes, conference phones etc.. should be brought by the user group
  • Access to Wifi must be requested in advance
  • Bookings for groups realted to the turf industry are discounted
  • Use of the conference room is complimentary to recognized GTI partner groups

 

PLEASE NOTE: User groups are responsible for room set up and clean up afterwards.

 

During the summer months, a patio at the front of the building offers a unique setting to use as a breakout area or for a change of scenery over a coffee or lunch break.

Special facility hours have been created to satisfy the needs of the GTI operational schedule.  Our rooms are available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.  Extra time for setup and takedown before and after each event is available but must be requested in advance. Please note we are not able to accommodate events such as birthday parties, wedding showers, weddings or wedding receptions etc...
