For Immediate Release:

Cory Janzen, Superintendent at Westmount Golf and Country Club will be the University of Guelph's 2019 Superintendent in Residence.

We are thrilled to announce that Cory Janzen, Course Superintendent at Westmount Golf & Country Club in Kitchener Ontario has agreed to be the 2019 Superintendent in Residence (SIR).  Cory's industry tenure, experience, professionalism, and rapport make him the perfect candidate for this role.  An alumnus of the University of Guelph B.Sc. in Agronomy program and current President of the Ontario Golf Superintendents' Association, Cory is certain to bring a significant amount of insight and value to this unique event.  After a long stretch of international participants, Cory will also make for a refreshing return to a localized focus on the calibre and pedigree of Canadian turfgrass professionals.  It will be a pleasure to host Cory for two days on campus where he will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with staff and students of the University of Guelph turfgrass management programs (Associate Diploma and Short Course).  As is tradition, the SIR will make a public presentation on the last day of the program. Please find the presentation event information below and be sure to save the date and spread the word.  Online registration will be coming soon.  For more information on Cory and the SIR program, click here.
