The Superintendent in Residence for 2015 is Mr. Doug Meyer, superintendent at Beaconsfield Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec. Mr. Meyer graduated from the University of Guelph associate diploma program and worked briefly as a turfgrass
research technician on campus before pursuing his career in professional turf management. In addition to his public lecture, Mr. Meyer will be attending classes and meeting with faculty, staff and students.

The Guelph Turfgrass Institute

The Guelph Turfgrass Institute was established in 1987 to conduct research and extension and provide information on turfgrass production and management to members of the Canadian turfgrass industry. Part of the University of Guelph, the institute is supported by the university, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the turfgrass industry.
